Dialysis Decided

I'm not going yet.
Not yet.
However, decisions had to be made BEFORE  I went - unless I wanted to try a catheter to the heart. I don't. That sounds profoundly uncomfortable, not to mention dangerous. So - no. I'll pass on the heart catheter. So, I'm going for Peritoneal Dialysis. It is the least invasive of the types and is reversible. They don't reverse the plumbing on hemodialysis. That whole replumbing thing has/had me creeped out. Still not putting hemodialysis off the table entirely. If the dead guy parts take longer than 2 years, maybe I'll try it. The other factor in this decision is timing. My potassium is creeping up, and I may not have time to install a fistula and have it mature enough before I need to be on dialysis. Peritoneal takes a couple of weeks. Hemo takes a few months.
So, another decision made.
Another step taken.
Keepin' on.
