What I'm doing right now. . .

I decided that I'd had enough of this being depressed and feeling lost bullshit. So I got all mystical and woo-woo.

I cleaned my closet.

Yeah. I know. Pretty darned mundane. Hey don't blame me b/c you put parameters around what you call mystical & woo-woo. I took stock of what I had kept from the last time we'd moved and with an eye toward the home hunt we were about to engage in, I decided to master my spinning wheel or give up on spinning and just buy pretty yarn from the damned yarn store. I sat down with almost 8 oz of a very lovely corriedale in bright cherry red. I began to spin. I wasn't through the first handful of roving before I decided to tie this into a chakra clearing and added yoga to the mix.
It started HELPING. Serious all caps version of HELP.
The yarn that came out was. . .well, I named the skeins that survived to BE skeins "Tangled Root". It was very aptly named yarn. Just sayin's all. I finished just before the full moon of that month. Nick took me out to get the next chakra color right away.

I blessed the yarn I'd made and the fluff I was about to start spinning on the last quarter that full moon. I began knitting the blanket on the next new moon.

I just finished knitting the root section.

Soon I'll be fluff shopping for my solar plexus.

As to the yoga, I'm focusing on each chakra as I spin that color yarn, and adding to my morning sun salutation (obtained shamelessly from The Beauty of Yoga by Jackie Harrington). I'm doing baby beginner stuff because I'm so freaking out of shape, but I'm seeing improvements in my overall well being and in my flexibility and stamina.

Gotta say, this is the most fun I've ever had navel gazing.
