This must be what doing speed feels like. . .
I'm full of energy. I'm ready to tackle anything (and anybody).
My doctor doubled my thyroid medication, and I'm loving life at the moment.
I can't help but wonder if this is the sort of energy that "normal" people are supposed to have? Does everyone have the ability to feel like this, and I just was missing it b/c I thought I was getting older, because I'm fat, ect.? People would tell me (oh so condescendingly at that) that if I'd just exercise more, my energy would pick up. You know, that doesn't work as well as you'd think when your thyroid gland isn't cooperating. I would drag my butt to the gym, and pay for it until the morning of the next time I was scheduled to go to the gym. SUCKTASTIC! I'm hoping for better results now. :D
Its strange, its cool, and its a bit scary, but in a good changes sorta way!
WOO HOO I love my thyroid medication!

Many people will tell you that taking madication is taking an unfair shortcut. That the stuff is bad for you. All Doc's got to say to them is that without medication his Human would have died thirty years ago. And yes, the Human is still "addicted" to a hand full of pills a day, but he's still able to get out off bed and go for the occasional walk. So please dear friend, enjoy your energie and embrace the new way of life it may give you.
ReplyDeletewith love, the Beardoctor
I've had a long love-hate relationship with meds.
ReplyDeleteI've been an insulin dependent diabetic for 24 years. In the past year, I've developed a thyroid medication habit & a blood pressure medication habit.
I do think that there are people who abuse medications. I'm related to one. However, that's not the norm. I also think that if possible, solving some of these problems with diet & exercise is best. However, there are some problems that no amount of dieting or exercise will solve. That's what medication is for.
Just my $0.02. Have a good one.
