For the record: LDP SUCKS!!!
Today I spent the first half of my day emailing Phil, Amanda & Nick regarding a situation at Toria's school (involving the changing of a class). I also spent that time trying like anything to get in touch with her guidance counselor.
After getting off the phone with the principal and guidance counselor together, I had to spend another few minutes in email, debreifing the converssation to the other 3 parental units.
Tomorrow, while Nick & I are on the way to FL, I'll be on the phone again with Phil & Amanda, deciding what the mutually agreed upon decision is to present to the child over breakfast on Sunday morning.
Sometimes, I think it would be easier if I could bring myself to not care. It won't happen, but I do envy some of those guys who are able to walk away from their families and never look back. Sometimes anyway.
Instead, I'll be phoning and emailing until my ears bleed and my fingers are stumps trying to be the best damned long distance parent I can.
groan. clatter. drip drip drip.
