Smoothness & Yarn

So, as part of my job, I refil the toner cartridges in the printers when necessary.

This is a very simple and tidy process, for all but 2 of the machines in the division.

One of these is an old Cannon, and it has a toner refill "Cartridge" that is very un-cartridge like. You open it up, open the toner place on the copier, Snap the refill into place and pound the crap out of the top of the cartridge. Then you close everything up, and check the level on the cartridge, because (Of course) the plastic is opaque.

So I'm in the middle of this process, when we had a small cartridge malfunction.

The cartridge snapped off the base.

Toner EVERYWHERE (oddly enough, except on me!)

This in front of 4 attorneys and the new section head.

Oh yeah, I'm so smooth.

On to Yarn:

So I woke up this morning to Miss Bitty snugged up to me, tangled up in a mostly okay, yet unwound skein of moss green sock yarn. Apparently in her catnip induced high of the night (not my doing!) she decided to "kill" my sock yarn, and was sleeping with her "kill" in my bed. So, I took the yarn to work, wound it up and am working on a sock.

In other Yarn-ly news, I'm venturing into Mohair. I'm going to make the Luna Moth Shawl out of Elann Gothic Grape SuperKydd, and I'm nervous as anything about it. Mohair is an unforgiving bitch-goddess, and I don't know if I'm that tall yet, but I'm aiming to find out! I have enough crappy worsted to practice on, I'm gonna try that out first.

Wish me luck!
