I have a pest control question. . .

How does one avoid one's father?

Seriously. He's called me 5 times in the past hour. Left one message which I didn't listen to.

I'm not speaking to him. The reason for this is that my father is a black hole of drama. All life witin the sound of his voice is sucked in, and may never be heard from again.

I reversed the anti-drama engines once, and got out. I don't want to get sucked back in. I've told him not to call me or write me or have contact in anyway. No effect, he keeps trying. At best, he's a selfish, egomaniacal religious fanatic. At worst, he's a child-molesting conman. Eitherway, I don't want that mess in my life.

Yes, its selfish, and probably seen as cold by most. Know what? I don't care. This is a move motivated by self-preservation. I can't be in his presence and remain sane. He makes me twitch. Something he's got in common with all but one member of my family, and she's got the good sense to leave crap alone and smile and nod. The difference: The rest of my family thinks I'm an f'd up heartless whore, and doesn't speak to me! Only my sister & Bob bother to try. My sister is the one who knows when to shut up smile & nod. AND she's got the same anti-drama engines that I've got.

So seriously, how does one get rid of such an annoying pest?
