My gram's funeral went as well as could be expected. Which is much much better than I thought it would be.
My aunt & co. all but ignored me, which was the best I could have hoped for.
Everyone else was nice. It was really good to see some of those peeps.
We drove by the pond house, and as I said to Nick, the spot is there, but the house is gone. In its place is a behemoth that really doesn't fit, but eh, not my problem anymore.
I got to show Nick the pond, and the graves of my family, and tell him the stories of my life that I hadn't so far. I got to introduce him to my family.
I got to say good-bye to North Reading. I got to say the final good-bye to Gram.
I feel better about things.
So, that's done, and it went well.
